World-wide Recognition for the Ramon Hidden Humanitarian Efforts
Ramon hidden humanitarian efforts are really not hidden at all. The charitable works of Ramon DeSage have been recognized worldwide by the leaders of several different countries.
Mr. DeSage has been honored in the United States by several presidents and prominent politicians, ranging from the far-right to the left wing of the political spectrum- from former Vice President Al Gore to the late President Ronald Reagan. Democrats and Republicans alike, who argue about much and agree on very little these days, do agree that this fine man is responsible for helping the poor and the needy, and for making the world a better place. His name is listed in the Congressional Record, as a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
In Brazil, Mr. DeSage was presented with a medal in 1982 by then-president Joao Figueiredo for his numerous works of charity benefiting the people of his country. Another coveted award Mr. DeSage has received is being named a Knight of the Cross of Malta. Originally formed in the year 1050 as an order that provided medical care to the sick who were making a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, only 12,500 people have been honored with membership. In his native Lebanon, Mr. DeSage was awarded the Lebanese Cavalry Medal of Honor by the former president of Lebanon, Elias el Hrawi.
The generosity and good works are clear evidence of Ramon diversion in life and have earned him world-wide honor and recognition.
